LaQ is an initiative toy for creative minds to build a large variety of animals, vehicles, buildings, bugs, dinosaurs and more.
LaQ is a new Japanese construction toy that uses interlocking geometrical shapes to let you sculpt any animals, people, cars and environments you can imagine. LaQ encourages active, imaginitive play that builds in 3D using a simple-to-understand library of pieces that come in 8 lush colours. The 3D play action also promotes processing shapes and information in 3D space.
A Child's Play, Comments from Doctor Mori
LaQ aids in the growth of a child's brain by stimulating the temporal association cortex, parental association cortex, the cerebellum and motor area. When playing with LaQ, information of color and shapes are sent to the prefrontal area where the brain will decide which steps are necessary to finish creating an object. Through the examination of a child's brain when playing with LaQ. I have confirmed that the neural network becomes active in both the left and right brain. I recommend LaQ as an ideal toy for children. Not only will it aid the cerebral growth, but is also an enjoyable way for parents to communicate with their children.
These photos show the brain of an 8 year old boy. The top photos show the brain in a resting state. The bottom photos show the brain whilst playing with LaQ. The red parts are where the brain is most active. As you can see the brain is balanced in both the right and the left whilst playing with LaQ. We have done various studies with Doctor Mori, who is a medical expert in brain science, on the perspective of how a child's play can stimulate cerebral growth.

When attaching two blocks together, make sure they are tightly connected with a snap.

To disassemble the blocks, hold the two connected pieces with both hands and separate them as shown in the diagram.
